Japanese Knotweed Ltd recently tendered for this knotweed removal project near Manchester. We investigated the client’s suggestion that we excavate the substantial knotweed bund and move the spoil 250 yards towards the main entrance, for double handling onto tipper trucks.

A herbicide treatment programme can successfully control Japanese knotweed on a property but any knotweed present in neighbouring properties can present a re-infestation risk. Where necessary, in addition to a herbicide programme, we can install vertical root barrier to help protect against neighbouring knotweed.

Japanese Knotweed Ltd was recently instructed to clear a mature stand of knotweed that was located in a narrow alleyway which runs between back to back houses in SW2 London. The knotweed had been identified in the summer and a herbicide treatment program was put in place to manage the problem.

Fluvial Erosion Correction Project - Manchester

Fluvial erosion is undermining the stability of a High Voltage electricity pylon located on the banks of the River Mersey, near Carrington, Manchester.  A major UK construction company is leading a project to stabilise the pylon, but the works are complicated by the presence of Japanese knotweed and Himalayan balsam, which are present as huge infestations to the area.
